Marjorie’s writing has been performed in Canada, America, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Russia. Her playwriting debut, China Doll was nominated for the Governor General’s Literary Award. Her other full-length plays include a nanking winter and The Madness of the Square. As a librettist, Marjorie has written The Lesson of Da Ji, Mother Everest, and Sanctuary Song (Dora Award - Outstanding New Opera.) She has been artist-in-residence with Cahoots Theatre, Theatre Direct Canada, SUNY (Geneseo, New York), Theatre du Pif (Hong Kong) and Tapestry New Opera. She is currently working on a contemporary adaptation of Medea (Scottish Opera/Tapestry).
