ASL 2011: Tozer & Kaye

Matthew Tozer currently resides in London, Ontario where he works as a freelance composer and teacher. He is currently a PhD Candidate in Music Composition at the University of Western Ontario. Matthew Tozer’s recent premieres include his chamber orchestra piece 10 by 12, his Wind Quintet and Piano composition Virulent Ruins, his choral composition De Profundis, and his string quartet Orchid. Upcoming premieres include a short work by the Kindred Spirits Orchestra and his
new vocal piece as part of VISI.
Matthew is actively involved in the creation of new work through the collaborative process. His compositions have been work-shopped and/or performed by organizations such as: Soundstreams Canada, the Canadian Contemporary Music Workshop, the Madawaksa Quartet, the National Arts Centre Summer Music Institute, Toronto Chamber Opera Productions, Pacific Opera Victoria, the Kindred Spirits Orchestra and various ensembles at UWO.


Anna Ling Kaye is a writer, poet and translator currently based in Vancouver. Her fiction has appeared in anthologies in Hong Kong and Canada, and her journalism in publications such as The International Herald Tribune and Caijing Magazine.
